Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives have long been a focal point in HR training manuals, but over the past year many CMOs have begun to start asking how they can use their marketing initiatives to create a more inclusive world. The outcome of that exercise has been high profile commitment of dollars to minority owned media businesses, along with a mandate that creative and targeting be inclusive of audiences that may have historically been marginalized.

With those commitments comes a challenge. How can major media players hold themselves accountable to allocating more ad spend to minority owned businesses and measure how effectively they’re reaching truly diverse audiences?
